270 Climbing

DIRECTIONS

Please read below to find out the best way to get to us.

HOW TO FIND US?

However you make your way to us, we can’t wait to welcome you to 270 Climbing Park, but, we’re a little off the beaten track, so we need to make sure you take the best route!

The park is situated close to the villages of Witcombe and Bentham, between Cheltenham and Gloucester. We’re a matter of minutes from the M5 and the A417 to Cirencester and Swindon.

The best way to get to us is to head for the Twelve Bells & Premier Inn in Little Witcombe. If following a sat nav or online map, please enter the following postcodeGL3 4SS – this will direct you to the Twelve Bells. From there, simply continue going along Cirencester Road towards Bentham. Continue through Witcombe village, following the road around to Bentham Lane, and tada as if by magic, 270 Climbing Park will be waiting for you on your left!

Some things worth knowing…

  • You can not get to us from the A417 – even though you’ll see us from the road, you cannot access the park from the A417 – and you’ll have quite a detour to get back to us!
  • We recommend not turning into Bentham Lane or Old Coach Road from the A46 – particulary if you are in a larger vehicle. These roads are winding, narrow country lanes and are single-track in places which makes passing difficult and they are also often used by horses and dog walkers. Instead please continue along the A46 until you reach the Crosshands Roundabout in Brockworth and then carry along the Cirencester Road.
  • We also recommend not turning into Green Lane if coming from Birdlip Hill. Again, it’s a narrow lane. Please continue along Ermin Way and turn right at the Twelve Bells into Cirencester Road and make your way on to Bentham Lane.
  • Finally, we ask that you turn right when leaving the park, then head along Bentham Lane back towards to Cirencester Road. Trying to get out of Bentham Lane onto the A46 really isn’t very nice!

If coming to us via public transport, the closest stop is in Witcombe Village. This provides about a 15 mins walk to the centre via pathway – though please note this does run out as you reach Bentham Lane.

PARKING

We have ample parking available onsite. There are facilities for motorbikes and cars, to larger vehicles such as minibuses and coaches. We also have a bicycle rack if you prefer non-motorised modes of transport!

We currently do not have charging ports for electric vehicles but do have plans to introduce them at a late date.
