270 Climbing

We’re super proud to be hosting the England Squad Trials (U13 & U15’s) here at 270 Climbing on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December.

We’re looking forward to welcoming some of the best young climbers in the country and getting them on our walls. To help us to get ready for the event, there may be some small changes to normal operations during, and leading up to, the weekend.
The trials all take place in C2 – on the Boulder Comp Wall and the Prow.
With more than 120 young climbers expected over the weekend the park will be busier than usual.
All of C1, B1, B2 and most of C2 will remain open as normal and the great news is there’ll be some fantastic climbs left up on the prow and comp wall until our next setting cycle.
Route setting teams will be working the preceding week, meaning the two areas will be out of action for a little while, with the Comp Wall being unavailable from 4th-7th December and the Prow from 2nd – 7th December.
The trials are a key selection event and a great opportunity for young athletes to pitch themselves up against the best climbers from across the country, test their skills and gain valuable competition experience – all helping to develop the next generation of talent in the sport. If you’re climbing with us either on the 6th or 7th, be sure to give a shout-out to the young guns and show them some support.
Thanks for your understanding.
