PRIVATE ACCESS FOR GB ATHLETES
Ahead of opening our brand new climbing facilities (C2) to the public in August, we are delighted to invite GB Climbing for exclusive access to the centre, featuring our newly completed 18m outdoor lead wall and indoor IFSC-standard competition bouldering wall.
This event also serves as a soft launch for C2, and we’d be honoured to have GB Climbing set the tone for what the space represents: development, performance, community, and the future of UK climbing.
We’re excited to welcome GB team athletes, along with coaches and any other team members who would like to attend, for a first look and training session on either:
Thursday 24th or Friday 25th July 2025.
SESSION DETAILS
C2 has been designed with elite and performance climbing as part of its core provision, and many of the routes and bouldering problems will be set by national route setters, making this a high-quality training opportunity for team members.
If you’d like to climb both lead and boulder during your visit, please plan accordingly to make the most out of things as some areas are only available at certain times (these are shown below).
IFSC Boulder Competition Wall
- Full IFSC spec comp wall
- 12 blocs (u17 to senior level)
- National and International standards
- Open from 6pm to 9pm
Outdoor Lead Wall
- 18m high outdoor lead climbing wall
- Lead routes up to 8C
- Open from 10am to 6pm
Gym Facilities
- Weights, bikes etc
- Open from 10am to 9pm
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Apart from some top class climbing walls, we’ll do all we can to make your visit go as smoothly as possible. This includes the following complimentary provisions:
- Entry on both days
- Lunch and refreshments for all athletes throughout the day
- Private access to the outdoor wall and IFSC boulder comp wall in C2
- Access to gym & warm up facilities
- Use of commercial bouldering facilities
- Private room(s) if required
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Lead climbers must bring a competent belay partner

- To help capture the occasion and support the promotion of both the sport and our shared goals, we may photograph or film selected parts of the sessions, which is likely to include use of the facilities and possibly conversations with the GB Climbing Team and/or their opinions on the facility.
